L’Oréal

Establishing L’Oréal Scandinavia is a collaboration with the building owner’s architect. Danielsen Spaceplanning has handled tenant advising, process management, the design program, and project management. Based on L’Oréal’s workplace design and corporate guidelines, Danielsen Spaceplanning has further developed a concept for the company’s Nordic Hub. Rooted in L’Oréal’s brand guidelines, the hub is created with a clear Scandinavian touch in order to highlight the multinational company’s connection to Scandinavia.

Comprehensive analytical work forms the foundation for the project. Based on a needs analysis, user involvement, and workshops, a report was drafted which describes the concept for a décor in line with the workplace design in flexible working environments. The report also develops guidelines for interior design and outfitting of interdisciplinary working environments, to promote the company’s development. The basic principle of the report dictates the creation of a flexible and activity-based workplace which is rooted in Nordic design. Meanwhile, L’Oréal is a young and dynamic workplace which is reflected in the flexible environment and the design’s bold colors.

The offices are in a modern building which hosts several users where a large staircase connects the different stories. On the spacious landings, L’Oréal is visually branded in large lounge areas with digital screens. Danielsen Spaceplanning provided support and was the local designer for the L’Oréal Academy, where we consulted on the design of multimedia rooms for education purposes and events.
