State Street Bank CPH

The project is based on the remodeling and renovation of a historic industrial property in Islands Brygge, Copenhagen. Danielsen Spaceplanning handled the consulting of the tenant and the full project management as well as provided assistance with communication in contract negotiations with the current contractor and the projections for the renovation. We handled the global communication and process management with both global and local stakeholders. We oversaw the project management between foreign and Danish engineers and contractors, and we were responsible for the overall project management, the handling of subcontracted consultants and contractors, as well as construction site inspections.

The client, State Street Bank, wanted to establish their first Nordic hub office to function as a workplace for permanent staff as well as be a landing hub for the group’s foreign employees. Danielsen Spaceplanning has assisted as an adviser during the process of establishing a new hub. The design plan revolves around maintaining the building’s original industrial feel but also establishing modern and exclusive office frames. The point of departure is the client’s global design manuscript with the integration of a Nordic design expression and value, as it was important for the client to express the close connection to the Scandinavian market.
