Christiansholms Vænge is a beautiful enclave consisting of 22 terraced houses with a strong focus on materials and fitting into the existing area.
The terraced houses are located parallel to the track at Klampenborg station and are made of bright yellow bricks from Petersen Tegl with a high degree of texture and variety in combination with wooden parts in oak, which gives the facades warmth and life. The building has several offsets in the facade line, which help to break the monotonous facade architecture and add individuality to each individual residence. The terraced houses intend to radiate the same weight and robustness as Gentofte’s older houses built in the 30s and 40s. The vertical division of the facades will adapt the large building volume to a more human scale at street level. It gives the impression of a settlement consisting of several individual properties.
The houses are built on 2 floors and vary in roof shape from flat to sloping roof surface. The homes are all equipped with skylights located above the home’s central staircase that lets in the natural daylight all the way down to the ground floor.
The terraced houses are welcoming with a large entrance hall with direct access to the guest bathroom, the living areas and the rest of the home. The first encounter is the large, open, well-lit kitchen-dining area that continues on to the living room. On the 1st floor, the bedroom, rooms and large bathroom are lit by the large open skylight.
Several of the townhouses are designed with a large open offset/bay window in the facade, which gives extra light to the homes and opens up to the private gardens. In front of the townhouses, you are met by a cobbled front area divided into different zones for living and parking.
