Holmbladsgade: Courtyard

Holmbladsgade couryard is located in a central urban context in Copenhagen Municipality, immediately north of Lergravsparken and southeast of Kløvermarkens Sports Complex on Holmbladsgade. Further to the east/southeast of the area is Amager Strandvej, which leads south towards Amager Strandpark.

The intention of the design is to integrate the green elements vertically and horizontally both on the terrain and up the facade, along the balconies. This is to create green meeting places and facilities for both people and animals in an otherwise urban area. In the project, a green outdoor area/courtyard space is established, which invites you into the area via a path, surrounded by robust, tall and low meadow and ornamental grass compositions as well as organically formed plant beds with trees and shrubs. The meadow grasses and ornamental grasses create a base for nature to develop and to let natural succession define which plants end up dominating in the long term.
