Steppen

The project site is placed in Ørestad Syd and consisting of 104 housings in a closed off block. The shape is rectangular, with tall apartment buildings of 5-6 stories at the short edges, and town houses in 2 stories on the long edges.

The vision is to create an intimate court yard for the housings. The habitat of Amager Fælled is drawn into the court yard. The courtyard is a place for small gatherings and recreational use. The pavement is offset to make the boarder between green and grey looser. In the middle of the courtyard a mix of lush flower beds, grass covered lawns, playground inventory and picnic tables are found. The lush flowerbeds also act as a semi-private division between the private gardens placed along the town houses and the shared court yard.
