The garden design is built on several small garden spaces with different functions, which are defined by the plot’s exposure and orientation in relation to the house. In cooperation with the client’s wishes, we have supplemented it with our professional knowledge and advice. We have taken the project from the drawing board to the site in collaboration with the gardener, so that our visions were not lost in the process.

At the western end of the plot, you will find a driveway leading up to the front door. Here, the lighting design directs you along the house and a beautiful dark brick paving, which contrast nicely with the light bricks of the house, where the front door is. Between the front door and the northern garden, an airy slatted wall is built under the half-roof. Here, space has been made for storing e.g. bicycles and garden equipment.

If you continue up the northern end of the plot, you will find the ‘shade garden’ and the ‘forest garden’, which houses an annex. Here, the planting is dense with shade-tolerant plants, and invites the forest into the plot in a fusion of garden flowers and forest planting. Here, the planting is dense and is only broken up by a narrow footpath, which is lit up by black light bollards.

The family is fond of football and therefore space has been made for a ‘proper’ football pitch at the north-east end of the garden. At the south-eastern end you will find the ‘evergreen and perennial garden’, as well as the ‘forest garden’. These relate to the house’s south-facing terrace. Here, space has been made for the long stays, with voluminous flower beds with plenty to look at all year round. A smaller entrance from the driveway has also been made here, so it is easy to get around the house. At this end, the beds are lit up by tiny lights that pop up from the beds like small sculptures.
