A new master plan is transforming a former industrial area in Brøndby into an area with about 500 mixed, sustainable dwellings, as well as parking garages and a cultural hub. Here social life and community is in focus throughout the project. Kirkebjerg Søpark’s four open housing blocks are designed to connect across all courtyards and invite you to move freely between many exciting landscapes. Each individual courtyard is inspired by different landscape typologies: The Commons, The Hills, The Terrasses and The Groves. Common for all four courtyards is that they invite the users to play and interact with nature.
Along Kirkebjerg Parkvej, urban spaces will act as connection points between the inner courtyards and the city. This will be enhanced by the future walkway and bike path, which among other things will connect the area to Glostrup Station.
The culture hub acts as a cultural and social gathering place for the area. Besides the many facilities inside, the roof terrace offers workout facilities and settings for social gatherings. Kirkebjerg Søpark will become a green and lush area with many social and cultural attractions, and will act as a vibrant addition to the neighborhood.
