The project for Boston Consulting Group consisted of expanding the leased space as the company’s Nordic department outgrew its offices. As such, Danielsen Spaceplanning has overseen the entire project management process and assisted in the communication of contract negotiations with the building owner as well as projecting the renovation of the existing, modern building. We also handled the global communication and project as well as process management with both global and local stakeholders.
The ambition was to create a Nordic BCG representative office in line with the original BCG culture but with a Nordic design twist. Brand implementation is therefore based on the existing field of design and the company’s brand identity as well as in relation to BCG’s offices on other floors of the same building.
BCG wanted to work with a different type of zones, as this floor would function as a representative office. This means that a board room is installed which can hold 48 sitting participants or be split into two meeting rooms and thus also function as two town hall meeting rooms with capacity for up to 60 participants in each. The acoustics are thus important in this design just as focus is on the development of common facilities such as break-out points, phone booths, the coffee lounge area, and a wellness room.
